Education & Experience

Attorney David M. Lang focuses his practice on patent,
copyright, and trademark law matters.  Prior to forming his own
firm, Mr. Lang practiced law with the law firm of Carmody &
Torrance LLP located in Waterbury, Connecticut.  

Mr. Lang holds a Juris Doctorate Degree from the University
of  Connecticut School of Law, where he graduated with
honors.  While studying at the University of Connecticut, Mr.
Lang was a member of Phi Delta Phi, was privileged to receive
two Cali Excellence for the Future Awards, and was Named in
Who’s Who: American Law Students.  Additionally, Mr. Lang
holds a B.S. from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst,
and completed graduate studies at the Yale University School
of Medicine.  

Mr. Lang is admitted to practice law in California and
Connecticut, and is registered to practice before the United
States Patent & Trademark Office.

Representative experience has involved preparing and
prosecuting patent applications in a wide variety of technical
fields, responding to Patent Office actions at all phases, Patent
Cooperation Treaty applications and related national filings,
and interacting with foreign agents and patent offices.   
Representative technological arts include mechanical,
electrical, chemical, and biotechnology arts, including
specifically: aerosolized product delivery systems, mechanical
timepiece components, hydraulic coupling systems,
algorithmic methodologies, conveyor systems, DNA
sequencing, protein sequencing, cellular markers, infant care
devices, food preparation devices, medical and dental
devices, food packaging items, marine propulsion devices,
and others.
